| Project Scope of Work The purpose of this project will be to develop a shared intern program and hire natural resource interns to assist with MNRR and Missouri River Institute projects for FY16 and beyond. Projects will focus on scientific research, land management, inventory and monitoring, and environmental education. Public purpose includes providing an internship for students in the field of natural resources and engaging those students in shared environmental stewardship. The youth interns will also spend time in a national park completing projects for the NPS, motivating the students to become involved in natural, cultural and or historical resource protection in their communities and beyond. The project also contributes to the scientific community and the general public via environmental education programs, trail maintenance, etc. |
