GP CESU Basics - How We Do What We Do
Great Plains Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (GP CESU) was formulated as a regional CESU unit in 2000. The University of Nebraska–Lincoln serves as the host office.
The GP CESU utilizes a predetermined Cooperative Agreement for its network of academic institutions, non-government organizations (NGO’s) and federal agencies geographically located within the Great Plains region of the United States. This predetermined agreement makes available simple and relatively quick funding mechanisms with a focus on scientific research, education and technical assistance.
Members of the unit benefit from a collaborative partnership serving the biological, physical, social, cultural, and engineering disciplines needed to address resource and research management within an ecosystem context.
